The governments, state and the central government, woke up a bit late to start special SHRAMIK TRAINS. But it has capacity limitations. Therefore, people have to wait for their turn. It is also a fact that lakhs of migrant labourers have availed themselves of this literally free facility. Hence nothing on record to doubt the credibility of the government to provide this facility to all in turn. Wondering as to why the workers chose the traumatic option of walking long distances on foot rather than waiting patiently for being ferried by the special trains. It seems it is more a case of crowd mentality to prefer a sentimental decision than to avail of well reasoned better option in a given crisis situation.
Poverty any form or shape is bad but there is thread in all these stores. All the returning migrants have large families at home depending n them. Tw things bother me one is large families. Too many members dependent on one instead all working to make living. Secondly, why large families? The present difficulty is new but politicians and Government have failedSociety in education, training and social engineering to reduce the size of family. Muslims with two three wives and many children’s is still the norm in Bengal, UP, Bihar. When will Mullahs stop encouraging to produce children?
Majority of the migrant labours waited patiently during first and extended second lockdown but when the social service distributing food etc also stopped or limited services were available and employers didn’t give salaries beyond March salary, they started leaving the place of employment for their hometown amid various false claims about their transport cost free and transport arrangement.

As a retribution the government should come forward to heal their wounded feelings and think out the
basic problem of regional imbalances in development and employment,may be have a minister for
informal sector/migrant labor to address their problems.
