1. What Pragya Thakur said about Nathuram Godse is unpardonable. In fact she should not have been selected as a candidate for Bhopal Lok Sabha seat. That was a blunder on the part of BJP leadership and it also underscores fact that there are many leaders of BJP with extremist views and who are fans of Pragya Thakur. 2. However, my question is different: Is the Congress party having any moral right to criticise BJP, RSS etc.? Is it not a fact that the Congress party has abandoned principles of Mahatma Gandhi and his style of politics long back? 3. Congress leaders remember Mahatma Gandhi only when it is politically convenient. 4. Danger to our democracy is just not from individuals like Pragya Thakur. It is also from greedy politicians. For example, during many years of the Congress party’s rule, political class joined hands bureaucracy and made huge money at cost of exchequer and such illegally acquired wealth was misused to win elections and more elections. Other parties are no different from the Congress. 5. Hence right thing to do is to clean-up our politics and ensure that Pragya Thakur and similar politicians do not get any official position, as Member of Parliament, etc.
