This creates unemployment.
my two suggestion:
1. The businesses and CEOs, have repeatedly said : recent graduates are un-employable. No body (no business) wants to train on their dime. It’s a cost for them and reduces their profitability or survivability. Academic Rigour in college will serve the graduates during their entire lifetime.
2. World is moving toward computers, automation. Any investment on part of students in learning the hard skills required today and tomorrow (such as learning a computer language, or SQL, or business Analytics, cyber security, web design or development, databases) will serve them well.
The legendry Tamil Film Director K Balachander whose films were far ahead of time made films like Varumayin Niram Sevapu, Sathya starring Kamal Hasanwhich was later made in Hindi as Arjun played by Sunny Deol had similar theme of Educated unemployed. Unemployment is nothing new, this used it get votes and now paying a heavy price as real data is not matching with what was promised and now being held up or being covered up with unverified numbers
