Firstly you can’t compare two persons in the same timeline bcoz every person has his distinct personality and a way to tackle the affairs of the governance . Secondly ,Cong has a devious past with multiple scams ,sense of entitlement and dislike of anybody who is in power apart from being the “Gandhi’s”. Multiple communal fights ,Sikh riots and the appeasement politics is all well known . So,why isn’t Tharoor harping on those darker sides of Cong regime . I don’t deny vigilantism and hyper nationalism is an important part of Modi but why do we forget that for 70 years Cong did nothing except spread divisive politics and corruption at the highest level in all spheres of governance . Give this Govt some time to establish it’s identity and don’t jump on conclusions bcoz that’s your narrative keeping it mind the election season . Hinduism is not a crime when your Govt is adept at Muslim appeasement !

Anyone who occupies this august office would learn of the true contributions of each of his predecessors, the difficult situations they dealt with, what they contributed to the governance and development of India. There would, of course, have been some profound failures as well, some of the individual, others of the system. Donald Trump is the first person not to do this; he has not spoken to Barack Obama on the phone, much less invited him to the White House. However, all other living Presidents form a club of bonding and trust. They rarely criticise each other, conscious of the burden a man carried for four or eight years, the incumbent turning for counsel or advice to the others. At night, when the lights are finally switched off, the ghosts of the men and one woman who have adorned that office must sometimes wander the forlorn passages of North Block.
Trump has not invited Obama to the White House. Apart from not being sure that is factual, why would Trump want to invite a hard core traitor to America like Barack Hussein Obama to the White House ??
