Over 23,000 adverse events have been reported since administration of Covishield & Covaxin vaccines began and of these 700 cases were reported to be serious, the health ministry said.
The number of active cases stands at 35,16,997, accounting for 14.09 per cent of the total infections. The national recovery rate has improved to 84.81 per cent.
The active cases fell to 37.04 lakh comprising 15.41 per cent of the total infections, while the national recovery rate improved to 83.50 per cent, the health ministry data showed.

According to the health ministry data, the active Covid cases have increased to 36,45,164 comprising 16.96% of the total infections, while the recovery rate has dropped to 81.95%.
Health ministry has also received 450 ventilators and 1.35 lakh remdesivir vials. The distribution of supplies was done considering criteria including active cases, positivity rate.
