The family of the Hathras woman who died Tuesday after a brutal gang rape says nobody would have dared to do such a thing had she belonged to ‘Thakur or Pandit community’.
While the three leaders — Akhilesh Yadav, Mayawati and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra — have tweeted about the incident, none of them has so far visited the victim’s family.
While the Hathras gangrape and murder is not an isolated incident, the responses of the Yogi Adityanath-led government and UP Police to it speak of the resentment against calls for social justice.
According to functionaries of Azad Samaj Party, the two men went missing after 10 pm on Tuesday while on their way to Hathras accompanying the family of the gang-rape victim.
Amid outrage over UP Police’s decision to cremate the Hathras gang rape victim’s body at night, CM Yogi Adityanath also said the case will be tried in a fast-track court.

I disagree with this premise that being a Pandit or Thakur would have prevnted the rape. If those monsters could rape a valmiki, then they are very much capable of raping their own women. But we r still better than Muslim majority countries where muslims r developing it n will make those countries super developed.
