Ravinder Kaur Sandhu, a doctor from Punjab, said it was her daughter Harnaaz Sandhu’s single-minded focus on winning the Miss Universe pageant that led to her success.
Harnaaz Sandhu is the third Indian to be crowned Miss Universe. Sushmita Sen won the pageant in 1994, and Lara Dutta Bhupathi bagged the title in 2000.
