The number of Covid recoveries in India stands at 5,34,620 while the death toll has risen to 22,674 with 551 people succumbing to the disease in the past 24 hours.
Experts say it's too soon to say whether the lower number of deaths with respect to higher number of cases is proof that the health crisis is under control.
According to Ministry of National Health Services, 6,604 new infections were recorded in the last 24 hours. The death toll rose to 3,382 after 153 more deaths were registered.
