Indian Army chief General Bipin Rawat said Sunday that six to ten Pakistan Army personnel were killed and three terror camps destroyed in retaliatory response.
The Army was found to be in severe shortage of ammunition after the 2016 Uri attack, as India took stock for a possible war in the wake of the surgical strike.
General Bipin Rawat said around 500 infiltrators were waiting to infiltrate India at the reactivated Balakot terror camps months after the Air Force carried out strikes.
While releasing 'India Employment Report 2024', V Anantha Nageswaran said govt can't solve 'all social, economic challenges'. Congress leader Kharge says CEA protecting 'dear leader'.

I have observed that many senior army officers worry about cost cutting and bringing down the cost of maintaining of the army. If they are unduly worried , they should set an example by not drawing salary from the Govt or take only token salary. They have no right to speak about rising salary and pensions . If they speak , they are giving an impression to others that soldiers are paid from their personal savings.
You’ve hit the nail on the head. Without getting caught up in this specific case, it is absolutely true that relations between the army and the veterans have never been so low. While it has a lot to do with MoD policies, it had most to do with the acts of Gen Bipin Rawat. Most veterans see him as an example of how low can a serving Chie stoop just for sake of pleading his superiors.
Never heard nor seen such lows in Armed Forces scenario. Without exception everyone has to take credit for this state, especially the current power wielders, both in uniform, suits and kurtas.
