My native place is Mangaluru and the above article is total bull….The only resentment point you make is banking community and simply attribute it to Bunt community. There are other banks like Syndicate Bank (TMA Pai) and Corporation Bank to name a few from the area. None of the banks have any significant employment presence considering that they are nationalized long ago and any employment is through government processes. So I wonder why people would be upset about bank mergers. As for the Bunt community, they are hard working prowess is evident by the tale of successful restaurateurs (even Sunil Shetty’s father) . As a matter of fact, there are more educational institutions which provide employment.
