After a dramatic outburst, Bahujan Samaj Party chief Mayawati resigned from the Rajya Sabha Tuesday. Mayawati, whose term was to end in April 2018, was unlikely to be re-elected to the Upper House of Parliament given she doesn’t have the requisite number of MLAs in the Uttar Pradesh Assembly.
