Rajya Sabha MPs were in attendance in Parliament Wednesday morning after the government extended the winter session by a day.
Members of Parliament arrived in central Delhi for the last session of Rajya Sabha. The Rajya Sabha’s winter session was extended by a day, leading to protests by opposition parties who slammed the government for “bypassing” rules and procedure. They alleged members were neither informed nor was their consent taken for the move.
Wednesday morning’s proceedings were also adjourned amid the loud protests. The House is currently still in session.
