The Modi government completes four years in power today — a theme most cartoonists have illustrated.

Mansoor Naqvi in Dainik Bhaskar shows the reality of India’s economy under the Modi government where fuel prices have skyrocketed and may weigh heavily on the BJP’s prospects in the future.

Mika Aziz in The Indian Express suggests that the Modi ‘sar-Car’ has slowed down due a myriad of problems plaguing it over the past four years.

Sajith Kumar takes a jab at the government’s promise of ‘Achche Din’ that is yet to arrive, after all these years. The Modi government was voted to power based on these promises it made to the Indian people.

Cartoonist Irfan mocks the Prime Minister accepting Virat Kohli’s #FitnessChallenge instead of speaking up on killings, and the price hike. He suggests that now most of the ministers’ offices may have to look like gyms.

Satish Acharya has a humorous take on the Congress and the BJP. Both the parties appear to be facing a conundrum if Congress president Rahul Gandhi is not chosen as the opposition face for the upcoming elections.
