Farrukhabad (UP), Sep 30 (PTI) The body of a 20-year-old youth was found on the railway track here on Friday morning, police said.
The deceased was identified as Suraj Yadav, a resident of Nekpur Kala under Kotwali Fatehgarh, they said.
According to police, his body was found on the railway track between Fatehgarh and Farrukhabad located near his house.
In a complaint filed by the mother of the deceased, she alleged that her son was murdered over a love affair a girl, they said.
About 12 days ago, Yadav had run away with the girl. Later, due to the pressure from her family the she had returned home. Yadav’s mother has alleged that his son was getting threats, police said.
The mother has named five people in her complaint, they said.
Police said senior officials including Superintendent of Police Ashok Kumar Meena and others visited the spot and investigation is underway.
The SP said the body has been sent for post-mortem and a case is being registered based on the complaint.
