New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Saturday interacted with a group of migrant labourers near the Sukhdev Vihar flyover here and asked them about their problems as they walk home amid the coronavirus-induced lockdown.
Gandhi, dressed in a black pant and white Kurta, was seen sitting on the footpath and talking to migrant labourers near the Sukhdev Vihar flyover about their ordeal.
The Congress claimed that the police detained the labourers later in preventive custody saying they have “direction from top to do so”.
There was no immediate reaction from the police to the Congress party’s claim.

What’s wrong in interacting with them….they are humans… it’s atleast better to share their pain rather than criticizing…our government has asked them to walk or die on their way home… they are the most affected ppl because of coronavirus…if not for the humanity of some people who are feeding them,none of the state or central government is taking care of them..
At least he has the humility to sit and hear and spend some time with them. What are you people doing? Just criticizing? Sitting in your air conditioned rooms, eating and drinking. If I was a poor migrant worker and had to choose someone now, it will be Rahul, not you idiots.
The middle aged dynast, out on a photo opp, seems to be wearing a hospital mask. Please ask him how did he dispose the same? Did he follow the protocol required for such wastes?
