Mumbai, Jul 17 (PTI) Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) spokesperson Prakash Mahajan on Thursday met party chief Raj Thackeray’s son Amit, two days after expressing his disappointment with the party leadership for not inviting him for the recent state conclave at Igatpuri in Nashik district.
“I explained my views and apologised for certain remarks I made, which I should not have made. This is because people think that whatever I say has come straight from Raj saheb,” Mahajan told reporters.
“I will continue to work in the party with renewed vigour,” he said.
On Tuesday, Mahajan expressed his displeasure with his party leadership for not supporting him when former Union minister Narayan Rane allegedly threatened him with violence.
Talking to reporters on Thursday, Mahajan also alluded to his “over zealousness” in commenting on the issue of the estranged cousins Raj and Uddhav Thackeray coming together.
Mahajan has been associated with the MNS, founded by Raj Thackeray in March 2006 after leaving undivided Shiv Sena which was then led by late Bal Thackeray.
Mahajan, who is the brother of late BJP leader Pramod Mahajan, hails from Beed district in Marathwada region. PTI VT VT
