Beed, May 24 (PTI) A 28-year-old man died and two others suffered serious injuries after the motorcycle they were travelling on was hit by an unidentified vehicle in Maharashtra’s Beed district, police said on Sunday.
The hit-and-run took place near Pali on the Dhule-Solapur National Highway on Saturday night, they said.
According to police, Momin Juned Momin Rafiq (28), Shaikh Farman (35) and Momin Rahil (20) were returning to Beed on a motorcycle after having dinner. An unidentified vehicle hit their motorcycle, leaving the trio seriously injured.
Locals rushed them to Beed District Hospital, where doctors declared Juned dead. As the condition of the other two remained critical, they were shifted to a hospital in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, an official said.
The Beed Rural police are looking for the vehicle that hit the two-wheeler, he added. PTI COR NR
