Bhopal, Jun 19 (PTI) The Indore unit of the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has been holding various events, including ‘nukkad natak’ (street plays) and bike rallies, to raise awareness against drug abuse and trafficking of the banned substances, an official said on Thursday.

The agency has organised a ‘Nashamukt Bharat Pakhwara’ from June 12 to June 26, which is observed as the International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking, he said.

In coordination with the Indore civic body, the NCB unit is trying to spread mass awareness against the ill effects of drug abuse, he said.

The anti-drug message is being communicated through digital boards, banners, nukkad natak, bike rallies, cyclothon, and even with the help of waste collection vans in the country’s cleanest city, the official said. PTI MAS NR
