Nagaland observes Good Friday

Kohima, Apr 18 (PTI) Christians across Nagaland observed Good Friday with fasting and special prayer services in churches.

Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio said Jesus Christ gave his life on the cross to redeem humanity.

“His selfless act of love offers us forgiveness, unmerited grace and the hope of new and eternal life for all who believe in Him,” Rio wrote on X.

Governor La Ganesan extended his wishes to the people on the occasion.

“Easter is celebrated around the world with great reverence, reminding us of God’s boundless love and the spirit of forgiveness,” he said.

“As we commemorate the resurrection of Jesus Christ, may our hearts be filled with joy, hope and abundant blessings,” he said, wishing everyone a blessed and peaceful Easter.
