MP sees 33 COVID-19 cases; lone death in Indore takes toll to 10,736

  Bhopal, May 24 (PTI) The COVID-19 tally in Madhya Pradesh reached 10,42,276 on Tuesday after the detection of 33 cases, while the death toll increased by one to touch 10,736, an official said.

An 80-year-old woman who was fully vaccinated but was suffering from heart disease, high blood pressure and diabetes succumbed to the infection in Indore, the official said.

The positivity rate stood at 0.5 per cent, while the recovery count rose by 18 and stood at 10,31,251, leaving the state with 289 active cases, he informed.

With 5,806 samples examined during the day, the number of tests in MP went up to 2,92,52,917, he added.

A government release said 11,86,22,145 COVID-19 vaccine doses have been administered so far in the state, including 35,982 on Tuesday.
