Madhya Pradesh to showcase its growth, policy & infrastructure at summit to attract investors

The flagship summit ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh’ will take place on 11-12 January in Indore. As many as 500 Indian businesspersons & delegations from over 65 nations will participate.

Madhya Pradesh – The Future Ready State’ – is the central state’s pitch to the world as it prepares to host the next edition of a global investors’ summit this week.

The state will promote and showcase its growth potential, investment climate and infrastructure at the 7th edition of ‘Invest Madhya Pradesh’ on 11 and 12 January in Indore.

The main objectives of the event would be to underscore the state’s industrial ecosystem, promote state policies, to formulate industry-friendly policies, collaboration on opportunities, promoting its export potential and facilitate buyer-seller meets and vendor development.

After the inaugural session, there will be B2B and B2G meetings, thematic and sector-specific sessions, one-to-one meetings with the chief minister, industry minister and relevant officials, exhibitions and cultural activities.

The global investors’ summit is the state’s biennial investment promotion event. It was conceptualised in 2007 and has “turned out to be the most-promising event for investors and the business community the world over”, an official statement said.

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan has chaired roadshows in Delhi, Mumbai, Pune and Bengaluru to invite investors to the state and has also interacted with potential overseas investors.

Foreign delegations from more than 65 countries will participate in the two-day event. Nine partner countries and 14 international trade organisations will showcase various facets of their home countries in the international pavilion, the statement read.

It also said more than 5,000 industrialists and industry representatives have registered for the summit; the government has received more than 450 requests from leading industries for one-to-one meetings with the chief minister, state ministers and other government officials.

More than 500 prominent industrialists from India will also attend the event, the statement said.

Industries that will participate are pharma, IT, automobiles, textiles, chemicals, food processing, petrochemicals and tourism among others.
