Liver transplants: TN Minister lauds city hospital

Chennai, May 10 (PTI) Tamil Nadu Health Minister Ma Subramanian on Tuesday lauded Gleneagles Global Health City (GGHC) after it successfully performed 125 liver transplants under the Tamil Nadu Chief Minister’s Comprehensive Health Insurance Scheme (TNCMCHIS) during the last 2 years of the covid-19 pandemic.

The doctors at the hospital were felicitated by Subramanian and Principal Health Secretary Dr J Radhakrishnan, a release from GGHC here said. Subramanian was quoted as saying that it was gratifying to see so many patients, especially children, benefit from the TNCMCHIS.

Dr Alok Khullar, CEO, GGCH, Chennai, said “we are extremely grateful to the Government of Tamil Nadu for the TNCMCHIS that has given hope to many patients across the state.” PTI SA SA SS SS
