IOB or Indian Overseas Bank is now authorised to collect receipts from the official portal of IFHRMS. The authorisation will enable both offline and online collection of receipts on the official Tamil Nadu HRMS portal.

What is IFHRMS?

Here are some details about the IFHRMS portal that the government of Tamil Nadu operates for making the payslip process smooth in the state.

  • IFHRMS stands for Integrated Financial and Human resources management system.
  • It provides an online portal for employees to avail finance related services.
  • It helps with the online digital payslip downloading process.
  • It is run by the Finance department of Tamil Nadu State Government.

About Rs 2,000 crore funds unutilised by state identified

Recently, according to a Business Standard article, the government of Tamil Nadu identified that an amount of about Rs 2000 crore was unutilised which could be remitted back to the treasury, as confirmed by Tamil Nadu Finance Minister Palanivel Thiaga Rajan.

He also emphasised on the importance of a mechanism that will prevent non-utilisation of such big funds. For this, a pattern of direct disbursal of funds from the treasury to the beneficiaries account must be promoted, he said.

Through IFHRMS, direct supply of goods and services, payments made to pensioners and scholarships to students can be also looked upon.

Using the portal

According to Talkshubh, one can visit the official login page of the Karuvoolam portal launched by the TN government for using IFHRMS facilities. They can download their payslip, create DDO templates, generate bills, add festival advances etc.

Apart from this, one can add or remove employees, add dues and deductions etc too. Please note that these details are outsourced and must be verified by the readers too.

Indian Bank partnered with the portal in September

In September, Indian Bank also confirmed their partnership with the treasury portal. The bank thanked the government of Tamil Nadu for choosing them as one of the partners for receipt of payment.
