New Delhi: The Council for the Indian School Certificate Examinations (CISCE) declared the results of the Class 10 and 12 exams Friday.

Considering the “exceptional circumstance” of the Covid-19 pandemic, the board has decided not to publish a merit list for both the classes.

The pass percentage for the two classes registered at above 90 per cent, which is not remarkably different from last year.

In a press statement issued Friday, Gerry Arathoon, chief executive and secretary, CISCE, said, “I would like to commend our candidates who have shown exemplary resilience and fortitude during this crisis period, faced with the agony of a long wait for a possible delayed examination in the remaining papers, the subsequent prolonged wait for the results while simultaneously continuing their studies of the next class or preparing for the entrance examinations. Your patience and perseverance are to be admired.”

“Given the exceptional circumstances, this year CISCE will not be publishing a merit list for either the ICSE or ISC Year 2020 Examinations,” he added.
