Domino’s India operator Jubilant beats Q2 profit estimates on cheaper launches

BENGALURU/CHENNAI (Reuters) – Jubilant FoodWorks, which operates Domino’s restaurants in India, reported a smaller-than-expected 26% fall in quarterly earnings on Wednesday, as the launch of cheaper pizzas attracted more consumers.

The Indian franchisee of Domino’s Pizza said its consolidated net profit fell to 972 million rupees ($11.69 million) for the second quarter ended Sept. 30, from 1.32 billion rupees a year earlier.

Analysts, on average, were expecting 772.2 million rupees, according to data from LSEG.
