Mumbai, Mar 12 (PTI) Former Union minister Sharad Pawar on Thursday described as “deeply concerning” the assassination attempt on former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah.
“The gun firing incident at a wedding ceremony attended by senior leader Farooq Abdullah and Deputy Chief Minister Surinder Choudhary is deeply concerning. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident, which is a great relief,” Pawar said in a post on X.
“However, such occurrences can pose a serious threat to public safety. It is reassuring to hear that all the dignitaries are safe. Heartfelt wishes for their good health, long life, and continued safety,” Pawar said.
