New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation on Thursday arrested the executive director of the Power Grid Corporation of India and five senior Tata Projects Ltd officials on charges of bribery.

The executives were arrested on allegations of corruption in the North Eastern Regional Power System Improvement Project.

Power Grid’s executive director B.S. Jha was picked up Thursday and the arrested Tata employees include executive vice president V.P. Deshraj Pathak and assistant vice president R.N. Singh.
