Aligarh, Jul 17 (PTI) Two people were killed and 29 others injured on Thursday when a double-decker bus collided with a truck on the Agra-Delhi Yamuna Expressway near Tappal, police said.

Among the deceased was the driver of the bus, which was travelling from Kanpur to Delhi. Four of the injured are reported to be in serious condition, officials said.

Circle Officer Varun Singh told reporters that all the injured have been rushed to nearby hospitals.

Preliminary probe suggested that the bus may have rammed into the truck from behind after its driver possibly dozed off at the wheel.

Both vehicles were headed in the same direction at the time of the crash, police said. PTI COR KIS DV DV
