New Delhi: Bhartiya Janata Party’s President J P Nadda’s personal Twitter account was hacked during the early hours on Sunday.
In a series of three tweets, the hackers used Nadda’s account to ask for cryptocurrency donations in the name of the ongoing war between Russia and Ukraine.
The first tweet, which came at 10:02 AM, read, “Stand with the people of Russia. Now accepting Crytpocurrent donations. Bitcoin and Ethereum.”
Along with Hindi and English texts, two BTC and ETH links were also attached for donations.

While both the tweets stand deleted now, a third tweet was about the hackers. The wrote, “Ran by #icg”
This has led to a wave of reactions on social media. The government is yet to give any clarification on this.
Earlier in December 2021, Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s account was also compromised. His personal Twitter account was hacked during the early hours on Sunday. The hackers then had tried to promote the cryptocurrency through PM Modi’s account.
