New Delhi: Congress leader Rahul Gandhi on Friday visited the residence of late Delhi Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit and spent some time with her family members.

Dikshit died on July 20 and was cremated the next day. While Sonia Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra attended her last rites, Rahul Gandhi was not present in the country at the time.

Rahul, who returned from abroad on Thursday, met the departed leader’s son and former MP Sandeep Dikshit and other family members and condoled her demise.

He is learnt to have spent around two hours with Dikshit’s family this morning, the sources said. Sheila Dikshit shared close ties with the Gandhi family.

  1. Where exactly does Rahul Gandhi go when he goes abroad? What does he do? Whom does he meet? I am sure the host country’s spy agencies track his every movement, which makes him vulnerable to blackmailing. An aspiring PM candidate needs to be transparent about his foreign visits and contacts.
