New Delhi: Actor Rhea Chakraborty Thursday posted messages on Twitter and Instagram asking Home Minister Amit Shah to conduct a CBI inquiry into Sushant Singh Rajput’s alleged suicide on 14 June. In the post, Chakraborty identifies herself as Rajput’s girlfriend.
Thirty four-year-old Rajput was found hanging in his Bandra apartment.
“I’m sushants Singh Rajputs girlfriend Rhea chakraborty,it is now over a month since his sudden demise. I have complete faith in the government, however in the interest of justice , I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry (sic),” wrote 28-year-old Chakraborty in her two-part tweet, tagging Shah in them.

The actor also wrote that she was seeking the reason behind his death.
“I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter . I only want to understand what pressures, prompted Sushant to take this step. Yours sincerely #satyamevajayate @AmitShah sir (sic),” she tweeted.

She also made a similar appeal to Shah on Instagram, uploading a picture of Rajput in it.
Tagging Shah, she wrote, “…I have complete faith in the government, however in the interest of justice, I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter.”
Meanwhile, investigation by the Mumbai Police into Rajput’s death has been going on and statements recorded from those who were close to the actor. Earlier, his autopsy report had revealed asphyxia as the cause of death and ruled out any foul play.

‘Received rape, deaths threats after Rajput’s death’
Chakraborty has also said that she received death and rape threats from social media users who blamed her for Rajput’s death. She posted a screenshot of one such threat on Instagram Thursday, requesting the government’s Cyber Crime Portal to look into the matter.
“I was called a gold digger…I kept quiet. I was called a murderer…I kept quiet…I was slut shamed ….I kept quiet. But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide…,” she wrote.
Though Rajput never confirmed that he was dating Chakraborty, she broke her silence earlier this week by posting a picture of them together with a long post.
It read, “Still struggling to face my emotions.. an irreparable numbness in my heart . You are the one who made me believe in love, the power of it . You taught me how a simple mathematical equation can decipher the meaning of life and I promise you that I learnt from you every day. I will never come to terms with you not being here anymore….30 days of losing you but a lifetime of loving you.”
