New Delhi: Senior Congress leaders including Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi joined a protest staged by Opposition leaders near the Mahatma Gandhi’s statue inside Parliament complex. Their protest was against the BJP government, which they blamed for the political crisis in Karnataka and Goa.

The protest took place in the searing summer heat of the capital, and the mother and son emerged from the Parliament to take part in it. The two leaders stood in the sun for nearly half and hour, after which Rahul Gandhi offered his mother Sonia a bottle of water. The senior leader looked uncomfortable in the sun, and her son relieved her from the protest.

  1. Whatever has happened in karnataka and Goa is the greed of power through backdoor methods by BJP. They have money go buy-earlier the ECI to get them power and now MLA’s of both states.
