Despite reports that the situation in Kashmir is peaceful, day-to-day life is not the same. ThePrint looks at life in Srinagar three weeks after the scrapping of Article 370.

Srinagar: Over three weeks have passed since the Narendra Modi government revoked special status in Jammu & Kashmir and bifurcated it into two Union territories — Jammu and Kashmir, and Ladakh. No untoward incident was reported from anywhere, said officials Tuesday. But day-to-day life in the Valley remains affected.
Markets across the Valley remained shut for the 23rd consecutive day along with shops and other business establishments. Private educational institutions continued to remain closed. Though government schools had opened, student attendance was low, the officials said.
Public transport has been barely functioning, increasing the use of private vehicles in the state capital. Officials say the communication blockade has eased to some extent and landline telephone services have been restored in most places. However, mobile services and internet, including BSNL’s broadband and private leased-line internet, still remain snapped in the commercial hub of Lal Chowk and Press Enclave.

Here Govt is taking measures by not allowing to go out. Imagine in 1989 onwards Kashmiri Pandits in lacs were ousted from their houses at odd hours! They were displaced forever from vally!
There is Pakistan waiting for the opportunity to flare up the issue in World forums and here we are weeping for discomfort from the houses?

पत्रकारिता की दुनिया में आये नौसिखिए नौजवानों को ,,, दी प्रिन्ट,,,ऐसे ही इस्तेमाल कर रहा है जैसे अलगाववादी कश्मीरी नौजवानों को पत्थरबाजी के लिए इस्तेमाल करते हैं। कारण ,,पापी पेट का सवाल है,,। इसे नौकरी का उसे ,आसान पैसे का । कभी अन्दर जा के एडिटर टटोले तो पता लगेगा ,७०% लोग जो भारत के अलग-अलग हिस्सों से रोजी रोटी कमाने के लिए श्रीनगर और नजदीक के इलाकों में किसी भी तरह की मजदूरी करते हैं। उन्हें जबरदस्ती इस काम पर लगाया जाता है,साथ ही पेमेंट भी दिया जाता है। तमाशा यह से इसमें से ज्यादातर मुसलमान गरीब घरों के लोग हैं।।इसका सबूत चाहिए तो ,वो तमाम खबरें और फोटो देखे ,जिसमें श्रीनगर बस अड्डे पर लगी भीड़ ने बयां किया जो वहां से निकल कर अपने घर लौटने के लिए परेशान थे ५ अगसत२०१९ के बाद ।
मालूम नहीं वो कौन एडीटर होगा जिसने इस आर्टिकल को आडिट कर प्रिंनट का क्लीयरेंस दिया होगा,
उसे दिल्ली के कनॉट प्लेस या सर्कस में रात के उसी समय में घूम कर देखना और छापना चाहिए जहां कोई पाबंदी नहीं है।
इस मीडीया घराने को अपने कामों पर शर्म आनी चाहिए। एक नौसिखिया के कन्धे पर बन्दूक रख उसे टारगेट बनाकर खुद आते सामने, अपनी टीम के साथ ।श्रीनगर का कुछ हिस्सा मीडिया के लिए खुला है , बाकी सब फोटो शूट और फेंक होता है।

R u running paki agenda to show calm in megative light. If supreme court too agrees, allow a cooling period & show positive things
Can you guys please take pictures in downtown Srinagar, upper town, Soura, Lal Bazar, and South and North Kashmir towns and villages. It’s not good journalism to show the visuals of highly secure Batamaloo-Lal Chowk-Dal Gate stretch. Kashmir is burning, all of it. Show it to Indian people. Not anti-national RSS/BJP bhakts.
I am from Kashmir it is been more than 25 days and I still unable to reach my loved ones through phone or internet. Some friends who somehow managed to call me through nearby police station and they informed that restrictions are still everywhere and even bad as ever. However Kashmir people are not ready to accept it. It seems that the conditions will be more worse than ever.

I think India should let Pakistan have the Kashmir and see how it would manage the same!
