BJP celebrates wins, Modi puts limelight on Nadda — glimpses from parliamentary party meeting
The meeting, at Delhi's Ambedkar Bhavan, saw PM Modi and party chief Nadda being felicitated for the BJP's wins in 4 states. Modi also spoke against dynastic politics.
New Delhi: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Tuesday held a meeting of its parliamentary party, which saw both Prime Minister Narendra Modi and BJP president J.P. Nadda being felicitated for the party’s assembly election victories in four states.
Results of the assembly elections in the states of Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Goa, Manipur and Punjab were announced last week, and barring Punjab, the BJP either crossed the majority mark or almost touched it in all other states.
Addressing the meeting, Modi asked the party MPs to fight against dynastic politics, as it is dangerous for democracy, said sources. The sources added that the PM also said the BJP was against dynastic politics and claimed that it was because of him that children of several MPs didn’t get tickets in the recently concluded assembly polls.
