(Reuters) – More than 235,000 homes and businesses in Florida were left without electricity as Hurricane Debby slammed into the state’s Gulf Coast on Monday morning, according to data from PowerOutage.us.

The utility with the most customers hit was Duke Energy which had about 97,836 clients without power and said 3,000 out-of-state crews were assisting its Florida team with outage restoration.

It was followed by Florida Power & Light Company, with 30,198 customers cut off in the state.
