(Reuters) -More than 179,000 homes and businesses in Florida were still without power Monday evening after Hurricane Debby slammed into the state’s Gulf Coast earlier in the day, according to data from PowerOutage.us.

The utility with the most customers hit was Duke Energy, which had about 50,000 clients still without power. It said 3,000 out-of-state crews were assisting its Florida team with outage restoration.

The company said that nearly 171,000 customers have been restored so far.

It was followed by Clay Electric Coop, with 29,214 customers cut off in the state.
