New Delhi: Actor Amitabh Bachchan is recovering in his Mumbai home after an on-set injury to his rib cage muscle.

Bachchan was shooting for “Project K” in Hyderabad, when his rib cartilage “popped” during an action shot, the actor wrote in his Tumblr blog.

The 80-year-old was treated at the AIG Hospital in Hyderabad before flying back home.

It is painful for him to move and breathe, the actor shared, further informing that he would be out of action for a few weeks.

The actor wrote: “So all work that was to be done has been suspended and canceled dropped postponed for the moment until healing occurs… I rest at Jalsa and am mobile a bit for all the essential activities… but yes in rest and generally lying around…”

He also said he was spending time with “Babuji and his genius” – his poet father Harivanshrai Bachchan’s works – adding it was such a joy to be in the company of the poet’s works.

Bachchan said in the post: “There is desire to share… to share whatever little that I may interpret from his words and his memories of the times spent with him… to lament the limited… to be in awe of the vision and the intellect of such a being… and wonder how ever did one think of all that was written spoken thought by him..”

“Project K” is an upcoming science fiction film directed by Nag Ashwin and also stars Prabhas and Deepika Padukone in her Teulug film debut.
