NEW DELHI (Reuters) – The Indian government, Hindustan Zinc’s largest shareholder, remains opposed to the miner’s proposal to split into different units, a government source with direct knowledge of the matter said on Thursday.

“Hindustan Zinc has presented their case but our stand is the same that we oppose it,” said the source.
