New Delhi: The Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) summoned a senior official of the Pakistan High Commission on the issue of abduction of a Sikh girl in Pakistan, according to sources.

This came after the abduction of Gurdwara Panja Sahib’s head granthi’s daughter in Pakistan. Protests from the Sikh community in the national capital broke out on Monday outside the Pakistan High Commission in wake of the abduction of the Sikh girl.

“This has been going on for years where the Sikh community has been subjected to violence in Pakistan. Girls have been abducted and are subjected to forcible conversions. The whole country must be involved in this fight,” said MS Sirsa, chief, Delhi Sikh Gurdwara Management Committee, Delhi told reporters here.

There are several historical Sikh gurudwaras in Pakistan which are either in a dilapidated condition or are occupied by the land mafia and locals.

The Sikhs are facing persecution across Pakistan. There are many instances of Sikh girls being kidnapped, forcibly converted to Islam and married to Muslims.

  1. Exactly! I don’t understand why CAA is still not in enforcement. After seeing and hearing such incidents the government should bring it in. What are minorities gonna do???!they are not at all safe in Pakistan. To save their life, daughters and religion they move to India and in India they face 100 issues because of Pakistani citizenship. Getting Indian citizenship is a big rather huge task. There are Hindus who are staying in India for past 30 years and still they haven’t got citizenship. Why CAA is still not in enforcement, it has been 10 months the rule has been passed.

  2. Hindu girls in Sindh province are routinely abducted and forcibly married off to Muslims.
This is the norm in Pakistan. But the Indian liberal/secular cabal will never talk about it. Even the so called Pakistani liberal elites refuse to acknowledge the abundance of such instances. They deliberately play it down referring to such cases as rare exceptions. And the Indian liberal/secular cabal backs them up and continues singing paeans to Ganga-Jamuni tehzeeb.

  3. And still khalistanis are lapdog of Pakistan and some sikhs were opposing CAA. Now they should know why CAA is must to save the sikhs and other minorities of Pak.
