New Delhi: Painting an alarming picture, Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan Sunday said the world should consider the “the safety and security of India’s nuclear arsenal” that has come under the control of a “fascist and Hindu supremacist Modi government”.
“The World must also seriously consider the safety & security of India’s nuclear arsenal in the control of the fascist, racist Hindu Supremacist Modi Govt. This is an issue that impacts not just the region but the world (sic),” Khan tweeted in a thread, two days after Indian Defence Minister Rajnath Singh hinted that the country might review its nuclear “no-first use” policy.

‘Threat to Kashmiris’
Khan also said the present Indian government poses a threat to nine million Kashmiris who are “under siege in IOK” — what Pakistanis call Indian-administered Kashmir.
Referring to the communications blackout in Kashmir, Khan said: “India has been captured, as Germany had been captured by Nazis, by a fascist, racist Hindu supremacist ideology and leadership. This threatens nine million Kashmiris under siege for over two weeks which should have sent alarm bells ringing across the world with UN observers being sent there.”
Khan’s statement comes after Pakistan’s demand that the issue be discussed formally at the high table of the UN got rejected at the UN Security Council Friday. At the behest of China, the UNSC informally discussed the scrapping of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir Friday.
Rajnath on talks
Meanwhile, Defence Minister Singh said Sunday that India is ready to hold talks with Pakistan, only if it puts an end to terror.
“Article 370 was abrogated in J&K for its development. Our neighbour is knocking the doors of the international community and saying India has made a mistake. Talks with Pakistan will be held only if it stops supporting terror. If talks are held with Pakistan, they will now be on PoK,” Singh said at a rally in Haryana.
“A few days ago, the prime minister of Pakistan said India is planning an action bigger than Balakot. This means the Pakistan PM acknowledges what India did in Balakot.”
