Jammu: An advanced light helicopter (ALH) Dhruv of the Indian Army made a crash-landing in Jammu and Kashmir’s Kathua district on Monday, resulting in injuries to two pilots, officials said.
The chopper, which was coming from Pathankot, was forced to make a crash-landing in an Army area in the Lakhanpur belt of the district, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP), Kathua Shailendra Mishra told PTI.
Two pilots of the helicopter were injured in the incident, he said, adding that they were rushed to a military base hospital.
A defence spokesperson confirmed the incident and said further details are awaited.

A woeful news has come on 25 January 2021 from Kathua district in Jammu region of J&K. An Indian Dhruv helicopter crash-landed at Lakhanpur area near Kathua in Jammu region. One pilot is reported to have died while the other pilot is in critical condition in hospital. Prayers of this writer are for peace to the departed soul and early recovery for pilot in hospital.
It may be observed that Jammu region has been in news during the identified period and closer to dates even for more than one woeful news reports spawning from two incidents of earthquake , two separate tunnels in International Border and helicopter crash.
