While the judiciary rightly upholds the right of an individual to choose a partner irrespective of gender, it’s power and acceptability are limited. MLAs , MPs, doctors and medical professionals well versed in the subject of sexuality and gender need to all sit together and engage with people, both conservative and liberal, and dispell any misconceptions. Only then will we as a society uphold right of people to choose a partner.
