As a candidate in 2008, Obama knew he lacked governance experience, whereas Joe Biden had a solid track record, especially in foreign policy. I think President Biden, who has surrounded himself with competent, well mannered people, will do a lot of good at home and abroad. It is for India to be an important part of the American scheme of things, by building up its comprehensive national power.
