Can’t there be a view that is different from that of the ‘Bhakts?’
Can’t there be a way of looking at life differently from one singular way of the ‘Bhakts?’
There can be if we accept each individual is different and so will have and is entitled to his own ways of looking at things and arriving at his/her own conclusions.
That is FREEDOM.
That is DEMOCRACY.
Exactly the words me or at least some persons from my generation would like to speak.
When we have enough good things to do why we are focusing on the wrong things
which in no way leads to prosperity to the nation and its inhabitants. Now we are
fighting among ourselves when other nations overtake us in every aspect and we
are happy to go backward fighting for religion and division.
Looks like Harsha is giving cricket commentary for a football match! It appears that he has not understood the issues of CAA and NRC in the right context and has generally cobbled together his ideas on good, sensitive, sympathetic government with a tone which is conciliatory but with a deeper message. He is of course entitled to his views but one does expect some balance and sound logic in his judgment. CAA is passed by both houses of parliament. If there is any dissent about it, it ought to be in SC or peacefully on streets. Students are expected to protest peacefully and not allow themselves to be hijacked by anti social elements. Police have not entered their campus before the mob turned violent! So one cant start complaining Police turned violent and put cart before the horse!
There are many critical questions around NRC which need to be sorted out and they are much beyond support for or opposition to Hindutva. One expected Harsha to analyze them as critically and clinically as he does when he is doing commentary on cricket!

All Hindus are not morons.
Chalo subkuch baat lete hai, Desh mera yanha aye woh bhi mere ; hum bhi tere , This country log aye gaye sub milkar, nation Ban gaya.
Harsha Bhogle is being lionised / applauded for expressing a perfectly innocuous opinion. Stands out like an albino in a herd of conformity.
