Bhavdeep Kang graduated in History from Lady Shri Ram College, University of Delhi and worked with a number of publications including The Times of India, Indian Express, The Telegraph, The Sunday Observer, The Pioneer, Outlook and India Today for 30 years. She writes primarily on politics and food policy. She authored "Gurus: Stories of India's Leading Babas", a book on godmen, in 2016.
