Active Covid cases are rising nationally after two months. The curve is bending in the wrong direction, and Covid deaths are creeping back up. 1. Lockdowns are not an option, although Delhi is toying with the idea. Ahmedabad has a night curfew. One set of tests is inaccurate, biased towards showing a negative result. According to Dr Randeep Guleria, the vaccine will be accessible to ordinary citizens not before 2022. So we have to get through several months of difficulty. Wearing a mask is one of the simple, cost effective means of keeping people safe. If they are negligent or defiant, no harm in using a stiff fine. Personally I feel very apprehensive over the opening of places of worship.
