It is shameful that BJP’s Bhopal candidate Pragya Thakur called Nathuram Godse a patriot. In the 150th year of Mahatma Gandhi’s birth, a commemoration that PM Narendra Modi himself kicked off, this is embarrassing. Modi and others who have defended the Malegaon blast accused must condemn and rein her in.

The good people of Bhopal have sent her to the LOK SABHA. That in itself is a shocker. What astounds me is the fact that BJP who possibly knew already about the mandate they were about to receive, should have even thought of fielding her. Is this responsible action? Now with this mandate, to gain “vishwa’s” the first thing they need to do is to actually show the way by sidelining her and eventually holding a by election.

Pragya Thakur speaks from the heart. This is what she believes in, her life’s ideology and mission. Not a slip of the tongue, or the intemperate words that are sometimes uttered in the face of extreme provocation, to be deeply regretted later. I will feel ashamed as an Indian if the good people of Bhopal send her to the Lok Sabha.
