CBSE raising concern over an exam question about Gujarat 2002 riots is over the top. The question shouldn’t be viewed as partisan politics. Riots happened. People died. Students must engage with recent events. But including Republicans and Democrats in the answer options underestimates class 12 students’ intelligence. This isn’t KBC.
Mamata and Prashant Kishor’s jibes at Congress are valid. But it splits the opposition camp
Mamata Banerjee’s and Prashant Kishor’s not-so-veiled jibes at Congress and Rahul Gandhi, for inactivity splits the opposition camp when it needed to come together. Their attempt to forge an alternative opposition front must rile Congress but their arguments are valid: Congress’ leadership is nobody’s divine right nor is opposition leadership.
