Maharashtra politics is an embarrassing mess after top cop Param Bir Singh’s allegations against home minister Anil Deshmukh and his retaliatory defamation notice. Everyone looks incompetent and tarnished. If MVA looks so damaged, it needs to introspect. Maharashtra is a large, complex state to govern and has lacked focus, cohesion.
Why a soft statement like look incompetent? MVA is incompetent. Why print wants to tow the line of MVA?
Maharashtra has the largest state economy in the country. Also the city of Bombay. It should be powering the economy’s V shaped recovery. Inexplicable why its fight against the pandemic has failed to set the high standards others should follow. The coalition which rules it is not a natural fit. It will require statesmanship to fuse those disparate elements together, create synergy. Like our good friend D K Singh, I too am being a little more gole gole than usual.
the print is becoming shambolic with the reporting on this matter. it is not bothered about corruption. because that is the atmosphere where most of the earlier year journalists thrived. no journalist worth its salt in india with the exception of ramnath goenka, arun shoorie and probably arnab goswami has ever exposed major corruption in india ever despite the fact that corruption is the biggest cancer for the country.
Wow. No mention of extorting Rs 100 crores every month as per diktat of a person no less than the Home minister of the state. Can this be termed as mere incompetence ? Shame on such fallen standards of journalism.
Our dear Guptaji has always been a Congress sycophant. One should not expect him to take up issues which may embarass the high command.
Why print has chosen a soft line like”looks incompetent “, for an issue where the HM is accused of extortion by a Police Commissioner. It is a pity that the journalism has fallen to such low level.
