Monsoon session of Parliament was the second shortest-ever, but was also productive, especially the passage of farm sector and labour reforms legislations. Pushing through contentious reforms signals the government’s readiness to deal with economic challenges. But this came at a cost. Both government and the opposition were guilty of brinkmanship.
